Çukor, who needs a sweet treat?
So three friends, Jabier, Peter & Manu (Spanish, Hungarian & French), planned to set up their own business and decided to open this pop up sweet store in Gràcia for a month only (until January 15th, 2014).
There are a thousand artisan sweets displayed in the window case and for sale inside. Çukor (meaning “sugar” in Hungarian) is creativity and presentation, they work in front of you and teach how to make delicious sweets (hard candy and cotton candy) and yummy chocolate lollipops on any occasion. So children might help you make them and have lots of fun at home.
A friend of ours said such an amazing this place was so we decided to take a class and,… hey look, the local TV was there too!
We learnt how to make and use chocolate decorations using simple paper cornets. They went over how to temper chocolate and explained the tips for the secret of success. You will be surprised by how easy it is. Just let your imagination fly.
There are classes on Tuesdays and Fridays. Classes for kids on Sundays.
Special thanks to Miguel Ángel, who introduced the crew of Çukor to all of us.
