Artisan Market in Plaça del Pi
As known as one of the meeting points for bohemians in the cool Gòtic district. Local producers from Catalunya come together monthly to this hidden corner off the Ramblas to sell their variety of artisanal cheeses, yogurts, pâtés and sausages, honey, pastries, herbs, spices, quince jelly, olives, canned tomatoes, chocolate, wine and vinegar.
If you look through the individually handcrafted wooden kitchen tools, especially spatulas and spoons, you will feel as if you were in the 7th heaven.
This square is surrounded by antique shops, restaurants, the gothic church of Santa Maria del Pi, and Ganiveteria Roca, a century-year-old shop selling kitchen knives, scissors, razors and other cutting device. Their professional staff will recommend you on your specific needs.
